What is SRTS?

The San Bernardino County Department of Public Health, in partnership with the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA), supports the Safe Routes to Schools (SRTS) Program. This program is designed to make it safer, easier, and more enjoyable for children to walk and bike to school. By improving street safety and promoting active transportation, SRTS helps students build healthy habits, improves traffic congestion around schools, reduces greenhouse gas emissions from cars, and creates stronger, more connected communities.
Project Schools

Schools selected for participation are part of an ongoing effort to improve safety and encourage walking and biking to school. View participating schools through the SRTS Project Schools Map.
