Medical and Dental Mobile Units

San Bernardino County Department of Public Health is proud to serve the community through its specialized Medical and Dental Mobile Units, which are equipped with industry‑leading technology to deliver high‑quality, fast, and affordable care. These units are designed to expand access to healthcare, particularly for individuals who may have difficulty reaching traditional clinics or hospitals. Traveling throughout San Bernardino County—from the High Desert communities of Barstow and Hesperia to inland areas such as Bloomington and Redlands—our approximately 40‑foot Mobile Health Units are dedicated to bringing essential services directly to residents.
Medical Mobile Unit
Our Medical Mobile Unit features two fully equipped exam rooms to provide patient services.
Primary Care Services
- Annual adult health screening physicals
- Point of Care screenings/testing: Hypertension,
- hemoglobin, and diabetes (HgbA1c, glucose)
- Pregnancy testing
- Chronic disease management medication refills
- (e.g. hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, thyroid)
Urgent Care Services
- Urine tests/Urinary Tract Infections (UTI)
- Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI):
- Gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, HIV
- Rash
- Fever/cold/flu
- Hepatitis C screening
- Minor wound care
Dental Mobile Unit
Our Dental Mobile Unit features two dental exam rooms, enabling staff to perform dental procedures and x-rays on-site.
- Basic dental screenings and assessments
- Preventative care and oral health education
- Comprehensive exam with dental x-rays for diagnosis and
- treatment planning
- Cleanings
- Application of topical fluoride varnish
- Fillings
- Limited root canal treatment and extractions
