Empowering Caregivers and Families
Virtual Informational Workshops
CCS Family Connections will provide virtual informational workshops for CCS clients, parents, and families. These learning opportunities are meant to empower families and caregivers to get connected with community-based organizations. These workshops remind parents that they are not alone and there are other parents facing similar challenges.
The purpose of the virtual informational workshops is to ensure that families of children with any kind of disability or special health care need have the knowledge and support to make informed choices that enhance their own physical and mental health wellbeing as well as their children’s development.
We will have speakers from various community-based organizations to inform families of services, resources, and programs available to them in their communities. Participating Parents and Caregivers will be eligible for an opportunity drawing at event.

APRIL EVENT
IEHP Â
IEHP’s Mindful Living/Stress Management Series 2nd session. IEHP’s Health Educator will continue to provide tools and strategies for stress reduction and assist members in identifying stressors and their source. Presentation is open to any CCS families.

Rolling Start Inc will provide information on Independent Living Skills, Assistive Technology, Voice Options, Advocacy, Information & Referrals.
This presentation is suitable for aging out CCS clients but is open to all CCS families to join!

JUNE EVENTS
For IEHP members – IEHP’s Complex Children and Family Servies team will present on the process of transition planning and help members and parents/caregivers understand health care choices for transitioning from the California Children’s Services (CCS) program to adult health care on their 21st birthday.
This presentation is suitable for aging out CCS clients but is open to all CCS families to join!
